Fernando began his career in the Safei Group in 1996, as portfolio manager and head of the fixed income area in Madrid, winning awards for the best investment fund in the various fixed income categories (Expansion Awards) from 1996 to 2000.

After two years as manager of SICAV portfolios at Arcalia (Bancaja’s Private Banking), he joined the investment team at Popular Private Banking. In 2007 and 2008, he was given an AA rating by Citywire for his management of the PBP Medium Term Plus fund, which was one of the best performing funds during the credit crisis.
At the end of 2008, he was recruited by Lombard Odier in Gibraltar, as Discretionary Management Director, Head of Fixed Income and member of the Investment Committee. In 2011, he joined Inverseguros Gestión in Madrid, as Managing Director and Head of Strategy. In mid-2013, he joined Indosuez Wealth Management Europe in Madrid as Investment Manager, focusing on the management of SICAVs and client portfolios.
Fernando has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he specialized in the Public Sector and Financial Markets. Master in Portfolio Management and Financial Markets from the IEB, as a teacher of various subjects, he has taught in various postgraduate and EFPA training courses (IEB, Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Faculty of Economics of Zaragoza, ESCA, the Tax Authority, Association of Economists, etc).
