Simon began his banking career in the City of London in 1987. He spent 18 years with BBVA (London, Jersey and Zurich) and a further 5 years with Rothschild Bank (Zurich).

During his banking career Simon has occupied several senior management roles including Private Banking Manager, Legal and Compliance Officer, Head of Internal Control and Group Head of Emerging Markets. He has also been appointed member of the board of directors of a bank and a bank owned trust company.

Simon attended St. Phillips Preparatory School (London), The London Oratory School (London), Birkbeck College of the University of London (London) and the OU Business School (UK). He has been a member of the Chartered Instistute for Securities and Investment since 2000 and sat on their Swiss Board of Admission between 2010 and 2012.
