Vasco began his career in the Financial sector in the city of Lisbon in 1994, when he started working as a Broker for Fincor-Sociedade Corretora, SA. In 1997 he went to work for BBVA (Portugal) where he remained for 18 years.

During his career at BBVA he held the position of Dealer in the Lisbon Dealing Room (5 years), Account Manager (2 years), Financial Advisor (3 years and a half) and Manager (8 years). From July 2016 he has been a member of the Board of Directors for Insignium Iberia EAF, S.A.

Vasco graduated from the Universidad Internacional of Lisbon where he completed the higher Course in Banking Management. He later obtained multiple bank certifications by the IFB-Institute of Banking Training, the Euronext Lisbon and the Portuguese Insurance Academy, among others.
